The main contractor of the project, Magnificent Basement, commissioned hEAd to provide structural & project management services for the refurbishment of the existing historical pub and the erection of a 3 storey new-built to the adjacent plot.

This is a RIBA 2018 awarded project for the architectural merit - designed by Chris Dyson Architects - and the Sustainability inovative system installed using the underground streams of Clerkenwell in order to heat and cool the two adjoining buildings.

​

Two storey basements have been constructed in order to accommodate the extensive utility room and the kitchen below the new-built which supplies the pub. Great feature and landmark of the sustainable system is the ice-tank situated at the basement sitting area of the pub.
