Strawbale House  Self-build

hEAd is thrilled to have designed the structure of the hybrid load bearing strawbale house in Wales. The perimeter       walls are loadbearing timber construction with strawbale infill. Both elements are working together in order to support  the roof truss construction above. Matina, from hEAd gave masterclasses to local builders for the construction of the     stawbale walls and the lime rendering of the exterior. Many thanks to Mike Penford, who as client and self-builder did   an excellent job in all aspects of the construction.
